Crosscutting themes

ActionAid Guatemala has defined the crosscutting themes on gender, ethnic and generational equity.

These particularly important issues will affect all aspects of our work, including programs, projects, relations as well as our identity and image. They reflect the Guatemalan context and respond to groups that historically have been marginalized, excluded and discriminated socio-economically, politically and culturally: women, indigenous peoples and children and youth, and within each, indigenous women and girl children and youth.

The identification of these issues as crosscutting themes means that they are included in all the programs and activities that we support, to assure that each action will have a positive impact for these sectors.
